An example of this is if your child is very shy and you just read an article about how children should be encouraged to socialize. You may need to customize the steps that they advised you to do so that your child is not overwhelmed at the idea of meeting new people.

Make sure that the advice you receive is advice that actually works with you and your family's value system.
